Dominant Tez enter final with a thumping victory

Panchakanya Tez extended their unbeaten run in the tournament to four matches and entered to the finals as they defeated hapless Sagarmatha Legends by 50 runs, the highest winning margin for any team i the tournament.

Against the trend in other matches, Tez won the toss and opted to bat first on the better batting conditions on the afternoon sunlight. Tez lost their first wicket early with in-form Aasif Sheikh dismissed for 3 runs. In an surprising move of the day,  Karan KC was promoted to bat at number 3. KC proved the management’s decision to the full and made brilliant use of the opportunity as he smashed a quick-fire 50. His 52 off 31 balls included four huge sixs and as many fours. In an brutal assault against the already eliminated Legends, every Te batsmen thereafter scored in quick pace – Prithu Baskota with a 21-ball 38 and Kushal Bhurtel a 18-ball 31. All in all, Tez smashed 11 sixes and as many fours in their innings of 186, the highest score in the tournament. For Legends, only Alam could come up with respectable figures as he bowled a tidy spell of 1 for 25 in his 4 overs.

Chasing a stiff target, Legends could not do much in a contest that hardly mattered much for them apart from some sort of moral redemption. Mehboob Alam chipped in with a promising 23 in the middle overs while it was all due to the bowlers duo of Rahul Vishwakarma and Bikram Sob that Legends managed some sort of respectability in their total.  Consistant perfrom from Tez, left arm spinner Sushil Kandel continued his brilliant performance in the tournament with a three-wicket haul while captain Sharad Vesawkar continued his dream bowling run in the tournament with 3 wickets to his name.

With the win, Tez stay firm on the top of the points table and have now made it into the final while Legends are yetto open their accounts having lost all of their four matches so far.
