CYC Attariya smashes Biratnagar Kings by 6 wickets to thump them out of the Dhangadi Premier League. With the loss, Biratnagar are out of the ongoing tournament. In a rain halted match, Biratnagar’s 56 runs target was chased by Attariya in 5.3 overs. The match was reduced to 6 over a side.
Biratnagar’s innings was contributed by openers Babar Hayat and youngster Anil Sah. With a six and a four, Hayat fired a rapid 14 from 7 balls before getting out to Urao. Likewise Anil Sah top scored with 15 from 12 runs with 2 sixes. Wicketkeeper batsman Dilip Nath also contributed 15 runs in a decent total.
In the bowling department, Shuvankar Urao picked the crucial wicket of Babar Hayat while Kamal Singh Airee bagged 2 wickets.
The chase was not good for Attariya as they lost wickets early on. But skipper Dipendra Singh Airee and Vipin Chandra added 51 runs to secure victory for Attariya. Airee scored 20 runs while Vipin shattered 26 off just 13 balls with 5 fours.
With this result, the final four teams for playoff have been decided namely Kathmandu Goldens, CYC Attariya, Team Chauraha Dhangadi and Mahendranagar United.
Another match of the day between Kathmandu Goldens and Mahendranagar United was washed out due to rain and both teams shared a point each.
