Purbanchal Cricket Academy has started an Inter School level Cricket Tournament in Biratnagar. Tournament is played in memory of late Sakhichand Rajbanshi with 24 schools from Saptari, Morang and Sunsari Participating.
Talking with WicketNepal organizer committee member Ajay Rajbanshi told previously any school level tournament used to have just 8-9 teams but this time it’s been a record with 24 numbers of team participating in a school level tournament in Biratnagar “It’s been a great achievement for us.”
National player Siddhant Lohani who is also a member of Organizing Committee said “This type of tournament is necessary in junior level to provide exposure to young talents. School level tournament is a base for cricket development in any region.
Tournament is played in T-20 format, with 2 games played in a day. .
Man of the match for every game will receive a Trophy whereas Man of the series will be awarded with a Bicycle. Winner of the Sakhichand Inter School Tournament will receive a Trophy.
Final of this Tournament will be played on 29th of Mangsir, Wednesday.
