Nepal lost to Pakistan by 9 wickets in the opening encounter of ACC Women’s T-20 cup held in Thailand.
India and Pakistan opened their account with 2 points each on the points table of ACC Women’s T-20 cup in the first day.
Deciding to bat first, proved to be wrong decision by Nepal against a strong team like Pakistan. Nepal lost their 6 wickets in quick succession with just 22 runs in the board. Captain Rubina Chettri only scored double figures in the batting line up with 11 runs. Indu Verma and Jyoti Pandey scored 8 runs while Karuna Bhandari just managed to score 6 runs. 10 extras in Nepal’s Innings helped the team to reach the total of 47 runs in 18.1 over’s.
For Pakistan Anam Amin, Sana Meer and Sadiya Yousuf look 2 wickets each.
Coming down to bat Pakistan Women’s chased the target easily in just 10 over with the lost of just one wicket. Opener Jayasa Jafeer scored 26 runs and Jaferia Badood managed to score 16 runs. Nepal just managed to take 1 wicket in the form of Run Out.
Nepal Next match is against Sir Lanka on Monday.
