Nexus Academy to organize the biggest U-16 Cricket Tournament in Nepal

Nexus Cricket Academy in collaboration with ShowBiz  Sports is set to organize the first Nexus Cup U-16 Inter Academy T20 cricket tournament.. The 32 team event is set to be the biggest U-16 tournament ever organized in Nepal.  The tournament will be played between 28th March to 18th April 2017.

“There will be minimum of 32 teams representing various cricket academies from around the country participating in the tournament”, informed Bharat Kumar Shahi, president of NCA during a press conference organized today at Bhaktapur.

“If we want to take cricket to the next level, it’s necessary to introduce training and tournaments at school level”, said Shahi on their motivation to organize U-16 tournament.

The 32 teams will be divided into 4 teams of 8 teams each and each team will play 7 league matches. The members of the participating team will receive hostel facility from the organizers for duration of the tournament.

The winner of the tournament will bag cash prize of Rs. 1,50,000 and runner up Rs. 100,000.
