UIC’s Inter College Super Cup kicks off

Ultimate Indoor Cricket’s Inter College Super Cup Indoor cricket tournament kicked off today at UIC’s cricket court in Kathmandu. The 15 team event is jointly organized by Panda Events and UIC.

Group C
Kathmandu College of Management who played 2 matches in the opening day today registered two wins and  have a foot in the quarter finals with . They defeated Nova College by 41 runs in the opening match of the tournament and then brushed aside Nagarjuna College by 30 runs in the second match. KCM’s Nikhil and Abhisekh Dinodia got player of the match awards in Nova and Nagarjuna fixture respectively.

 

Group B
In the only group B fixture of Pentagon defeated Rajshree Janak college by 73 runs. Deepa Kathayat of Pentagon received the player of the match.

Group C
Himalyana White house college lost both of their fixtures today and are on verge of getting knocked out of the group stage. They lost to Kaustuv by 102 runs.  Player of the match Kaustuv’s Prakash Bista scored 18 runs, bagged 5 wickets for -24 runs in his two overs to take his side to easy victory. White House lost the last match of the day to Cosmos college by 58 runs. Nischal  Shrestha of Cosmos was adjudged the player of the match.

Group D

In the only Group D match Institute of Medicine defeated Silk Road International College by 30 runs thanks to an all round performance from Arpan Pokherel who was declared the player of the match.

Player of the match of each matches received gift hampers from Goldstar shoes.

The 15 team event  is sponsored by Tattvya furnishing. The winner of the tournament bags Rs. 1 lakh.
