CAN has announced the name of four teams for Nepal T20, which will take place from September 24 to October 22. Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) also announces the owner’s name today during its press meet.
The four teams: Kantipur Capital(owned by Mahesh Swar), Nepali All stars, USA (Sanjay Sharma), Diamond Digicap Pvt. Ltd. ( Vikram Yadav), and Goldsports Pvt. Ltd (Gouri Shankar Dhamani). The owners of two teams (Pokhara and Far Western) will be announced at the next press meet by CAN.
The almost one-month-long tournament will be staged in T.U Ground. CAN has already sold all the rights to Indian Company Seven3sports. The Indian Company will also remain a strategic and commercial partner. Two of the owners are from India, whereas there’s one owner each from U.S.A and Nepal.
CAN has claimed the tournament as Nepal’s first and only official T-20 tournament. The competition has already been sanctioned by ICC and National Sports Council.
The Players have been divided into three categories where players from Category ‘A’ gets Rs 15 lakhs, similarly, players from category ‘B’ and ‘C’ will receive 10 lakhs and 5 lakhs respectively.
