Sandeep Lamichhane to play for Jamaica Tallawahs in upcoming CPL

Sandeep Lamichhane is set to play for Jamaica Tallwahs again in Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Sandeep, who was picked by Trinbago Knight Riders, missed last year’s CPL due to a national duty (Tri-series involving the USA and Oman). His last stint in CPL was also for Tallawahs in 2020.

Sandeep’s agent Saya Corporation confirms his signing. In a tweet, Saya Corporation congratulated Sandeep for getting picked in Lanka Premier League and also revealed he will join Tallwahs for CPL after finishing LPL. The contract is yet to be known. He signed a contract worth One crore Nepali Rupees when he last played for Jamaica Tallawahs.

Lamichhane will join West Indies international players: Rovman Powell, Fabian Allen, Shamarh Brooks, Kennar Lewis and Brandon King. Nepali Skipper has not featured in an overseas franchise league since he last played for Hobart Hurricanes early this year.

The Tenth season of CPL gets underway on August 30. But before CPL, Sandeep plays Lanka Premier League (LPL) that will take place from July 31 to August 21. Nepal’s superstar leggie took 12 wickets from 11 matches at 5.27 in his last season (2020). In the three seasons of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), Sandeep has pocketed 27 wickets from 22 games, leaking at only 5.8 rpo.
