The draft for the inaugural edition of the Nepal T20 league is taking place today. The Tournament has been slated from September 24 to October 22. The competition will be played in a round-robin format at T.U Ground.
The event is scheduled to take place at 1 am in Hyatt Place Hotel, Kathmandu. The draft is taking place behind a closed door as the Media were not invited.
While four teams were formally announced in July, two remaining teams were revealed two days ago during the press meet. Pokhara Avengers and Farwestern United were two teams that were announced on September 7.
Six teams are as follows – Kantipur Capital, Nepali All stars, Biratnagar Super Kings, Janakpur Royals, Pokhara Avengers, and Far western United.
The Players have been divided into three categories where players from Category ‘A’ gets Rs 15 lakhs, similarly, players from category ‘B’ and ‘C’ will receive 10 lakhs and 5 lakhs respectively.
The draft includes foreign players as well. The full squad of all six teams will be officially announced upon the conclusion of the draft.
