The skipper of the Men’s cricket team Sandeep Lamichhane has been suspended from the national team by CAN.
Following a rape allegation by a minor girl on Tuesday, FIR was lodged against Lamichhane at Gaushala Police Range.
The decision from CAN’s working committee came after the Kathmandu District court issued an arrest warrant against him.
The incident took place a day before Lamichhane, along with the whole squad, traveled to Kenya for T20i and the One-day series on September 21.
Lamichhane played 5-match T20i series but missed a one-day leg as he went to the Caribbean to play CPL.
Nepal won the hard-fought T20i series 3-2 and then thrashed the hosts 3-0 in One-dayers.
