Nepal T20 : Umesh Patwal appointed coach of Janakpur Royals

Janakpur Royals, the first edition of the Nepal T-20 League starting from December 23 has appointed Umesh Patwal, the former coach of the Nepali National Cricket Team, as the head coach.

National team fast bowler Sompal Kami is the marquee player of Janakpur Royals. The team includes national cricketers Sundeep Jora, Aadil Alam, Lalit Rajbanshi, Sushan Bhari, Sagar Pun, Pawan Sharraf, Dilip Nath, Jitendra Mukhia and Rajesh Pulami. The team has not yet announced the names of the foreign players.

“I am excited to return to Nepal as head coach of the Royals in the inaugural season of Nepal T20. I am looking forward to working with some familiar faces as well as some exciting new talents.” ” Coach Patwal said in a statement issued by the Royals.

“I am delighted to announce the signing of Mr. Umesh Patwal as the head coach of the Royals for the upcoming season. He is familiar with Nepalese cricket, having coached the national team. I am hopeful of a successful season under his guidance.” .” Royals owner Govind Khandelwal said.

Janakpur will play its first match in Nepal T20 League against Pokhara Avengers on 24th December.
