Biratnagar Super Kings defeated Far West United by 3 runs in the ongoing 2022/23 Nepal T20 to boost their chances of qualifying for the playoffs.
BSK posted 147/6 after winning the toss and electing to bat first. Hussain Talat top scored with 50 from 29 balls. Bibek Yadav provided impetus late in the innings with 35* from 20 balls. Umair Ali picked 2/15 for Far West United.
In reply, Far West United were restricted to 144/9. Hashmatullah Shahidi top scored with 58 for FWU. Umair Ali scored 23 from 12 balls to keep alive the chase.
With 6 runs required in the last over, Keon Joseph conceded 2 runs to sneak BSK’s win. Player of the Match Raj Rocky Nannan picked 3/32 whereas Surya Tamang picked 2/15 for BSK.
BSK are placed 4th in the tables with 8 points and a Net Run Rate of -0.407.
The Super Kings face Kathmandu Knights next on 7th January. A win will seal BSK’s qualifications for the playoffs.
