Nepali cricket team starts high-performance camp in Sri Lanka ahead of Asia Cup

As preparation for the Asia Cup, the Nepali cricket team has started a high-performance camp in Sri Lanka.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has informed through social media that the High-Performance Camp has started in Sri Lanka after the ACC Emerging Teams Cup. CAN said that the camp was organized to prepare the Nepali team for a high-level competition like the Asia Cup.

During the 15-day camp, the Nepali team will play four practice matches with Sri Lankan development teams along with standard practice.

CAN thanked Sri Lanka Cricket for their commitment to providing quality teams for practice.

The Asia Cup, which will be held in the ODI format, is scheduled to take place from 30 August to 17 September.

Nepal will play its first match against Pakistan on August 30 at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Pakistan. The second match will be played against India on September 4, which will be held at the Palekele International Stadium in Sri Lanka.

Nepal, who has qualified for the tournament for the first time, is in Group ‘A’, which includes Pakistan and India. Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. After all the teams play one match with each other in the group stage, the top two teams from each group will enter the Super-4 stage.
