Sandeep Lamichhane, a Nepali leg-spinner, had a birthday to remember as he took three wickets for six runs in four overs against the Mississauga Panthers in the Global T20 Canada League.
Lamichhane started his spell in the eighth over and took two wickets in his first over, dismissing Azam Khan and Tom Cooper. He then gave away only three runs in his second over and one run in his third over. In his final over, he dismissed Zahoor Khan for an lbw.
Lamichhane has been in good form in the tournament, taking 10 wickets in six matches. He is third in the list of the highest wicket-takers.
In his previous match against the Brampton Wolves, Sandeep Lamichhane did not take a wicket. However, in the match before that, against the Mississauga Panthers, he took 3 wickets. He also took 2 wickets in each of his first two matches, against the Montreal Tigers and the Toronto Nationals.
