Canada-11 Outclasses Nepal A to Seal One Day Series

Canada-11 emerged victorious in the three-match One day series against Nepal A, clinching it 2-1.

Canada-11 secured the series win by defeating Nepal A by four wickets in the third and deciding match at Mulpani Cricket Ground. They chased down Nepal’s target of 182 runs, reaching it in 38.5 overs with four wickets in hand.

Nicholas Kirton led Canada’s batting with a half-century, scoring 58 runs off 79 balls, including six boundaries. Opening batsman Aaron Johnson contributed 42 runs off 31 balls, smashing two fours and four sixes, while Navneet Dhaliwal added 38 runs off 45 balls.

For Nepal, Shahab Alam claimed four wickets, while Basir Ahamad and Sher Malla took one wicket each.

Earlier, Nepal, batting first after losing the toss, posted 181 runs on the board before being all out on 47 over.

Opener Aashutosh Ghiraiya top-scored with 28 runs off 43 balls, hitting five fours before being dismissed by Canadian captain Saad Bin Zafar. Another opener, Arjun Kumal, contributed 27 runs off 53 balls with two fours before falling to Dillon Heyliger in the 21st over.

Basir Ahamad scored 25 runs off 40 balls before being run out, while captain Sundeep Jora added 24 runs off 28 balls, including three fours and a six, before being dismissed by Heyliger in the 23rd over.

Rashid Khan and Pratish GC scored 19 runs each for Nepal. For Canada, Harsh Thaker, Dillon Heyliger, and Nicholas Kirton claimed two wickets each, while captain Saad Bin Zafar and Kaleem Sana took one wicket apiece.

Canada-11 emerged victorious in the first match, while Nepal A bounced back to win the second match of the series.
