Nepal secured its second consecutive victory in the ACC Women’s Premier Cup held in Malaysia, defeating Bhutan in their second match with ease.
Nepal triumphed by 8 wickets in the match at Bayuemas Oval, successfully chasing down the target of 66 runs set by Bhutan in just 11.5 overs.
Sita Rana Magar contributed 32 runs off 37 balls for Nepal, while Rubina Chhetry scored 17 runs from 24 balls. The pair shared an unbeaten 48-run partnership for the third wicket.
Bhutan, after losing the toss and electing to bat first, managed to score 65 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Ngawang Choden, the opener, top-scored with 25 runs, supported by Dechen Wangmo who contributed 17 runs.Tshering Zangmo contributed 16 Runs.
Nepal’s bowling attack, led by Captain Indu Burma along with Sita Rana Magar, Kabita Joshi, and Kabita Kunwar, each claimed one wicket.
Nepal’s next challenge will be against Maldives in the final match of the group stage. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the quarterfinals, with the finalists securing a spot in the Asia Cup.
