Nepali national cricket team’s all-rounder, Dipendra Singh Airee, is set to play in the ongoing International League T20 in the UAE.
According to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), he has joined the Gulf Giants for the league. James Vince, from England, serves as the captain of the Giants, who commenced their league matches. In the league so far, the Giants have accumulated 8 points from 4 wins and 4 losses in 8 games.
Currently, the Giants hold the third position in the points table, with two group stage matches remaining.
Dipendra marks the first Nepali player to participate in this league. In the previous edition, Sandeep Lamichhane was selected for this league but couldn’t play due to rape charges.
This marks Dipendra’s second international franchise league appearance, following his participation in the Canada Global T20 League.
Nepal Head coach Monty Desai has opted to rest Dipendra for the ongoing three-day series against Canada
