Dipendra Singh Airee Makes History with Six Sixes in One Over

Nepal’s versatile player Dipendra Singh Airee made headlines by smashing six sixes in one over against Qatar during the ACC Premier Cup 2024, in Oman.

Dipendra took on Qatari medium pacer Kamran Khan, dispatching him for six consecutive sixes in the final over of the innings. Airee finished unbeaten on 64 runs off just 21 deliveries, which included three fours and a total of seven sixes.

This remarkable feat marked Dipendra as the first Nepali cricketer to achieve the milestone of hitting six sixes in a single over. Notably, he had previously achieved a similar feat against Mongolia during the Asian Games held in China in September 2023, albeit spread across two overs. In that match, Airee reached a half-century in just nine balls, setting a record for the fastest half-century in international cricket.

Prior to Dipendra’s achievement, players like South Africa’s Herschelle Gibbs, India’s Yuvraj Singh, West Indies’ Kieron Pollard, and Jaskaran Malhotra had also managed to hit six sixes in an over in international cricket.
