Nepal‘s first match in the ACC Premier Cup, against Malaysia, is set to kick off the T20 format tournament in Oman on Friday.
The match against Malaysia is scheduled to begin at 4:30 PM Nepali time. Nepal finds itself in Group A, alongside Malaysia, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
Following their clash with Malaysia, Nepal will face Qatar on 13th of April, also at 4:30 PM Nepali time. Their third match pits them against Hong Kong on 15th of April, with a start time of 12:00 AM Nepali time.
Wrapping up the group stage, Nepal will take on Saudi Arabia on 17th of April at 12:00 AM Nepali time.
In Group B, Oman, UAE, Kuwait, Cambodia, and Bahrain are vying for the top spots. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. The champion of the Premier Cup will secure a spot in the T20 format Asia Cup.
To prepare for the tournament, the Nepali team has been training in India. During their time there, they participated in the SMS Friendship Cup against teams from Baroda and the Gujarat Cricket Association. The victorious Nepali team will proceed to Oman from India.
The final squad for Oman is yet to be announced.
