The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has unveiled the new jersey for the upcoming ICC T-20 World Cup 2024.
The new jersey for Nepal was revealed by CAN on Monday, with Youth and Sports Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha and National Sports Council Member Secretary Tankalal Ghising officiating the event.
The official jersey features a vibrant combination of red, blue, light white, and yellow. Adorning the top of the jersey are depictions of the moon and sun, while the bottom showcases a one-horned rhinoceros and Mount Everest.
The central part of the jersey is predominantly blue, with ‘Nepal’ scripted in yellow within this section. Red accents featuring Mount Everest and the rhinoceros adorn the area below the sleeves and above the neck.
The CAN logo graces the left side of the chest, set against a predominantly blue backdrop with touches of red. Player numbers and names are prominently displayed in yellow.
CAN Secretary Paras Khadka mentioned that the jersey will be utilized during the series preceding the World Cup, hosted in Nepal. A total of 20 teams, including Nepal, will be participating in the ICC T-20 World Cup, scheduled to take place in America and the West Indies in May.
Nepal finds itself in Group D alongside South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and the Netherlands.
