Rohit Paudel’s century secures victory for Nepal

With the help of Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel’s century, Nepal won the first match of the five-match T20 series against West Indies A.

Nepal secured a 4-wicket victory at TU International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.

Nepal successfully chased down the target of 205 runs set by West Indies A, losing 6 wickets in 19.4 overs.

Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel played a remarkable innings, scoring 112 runs off 54 balls, including 10 fours and 6 sixes. Rohit reached his century in just 47 balls. Dipendra Singh Airee contributed with 24 runs off 18 balls, hitting 2 fours and 1 six, while Kushal Bhurtel scored 16 runs from 12 balls with 3 fours. Kushal Malla added 16 runs from 15 balls.

In West Indies A bowling Matthew Forde & Obed McCoy took two wickets each.

Prior to Nepal’s chase, West Indies A, batting first after losing the toss, managed to score 204 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

West Indies A captain Roston Chase played a half-century, scoring 74 runs from 46 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes. Opener Alick Athanaze contributed 47 runs from 25 balls, including 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Keacy Carty scored 38 runs off 26 balls, hitting 2 fours and 3 sixes, while Andre Fletcher added 13 runs from just 5 balls with 2 sixes.

For Nepal, Abhinas Bohora, Dipendra Singh Airee, Kamal Singh Airee, and Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel each took one wicket.
