The Nepali cricket team, currently in the West Indies to prepare for the World Cup, lost their third practice match against the Windward Volcanoes by 67 runs on Sunday morning. Despite this loss, Nepal had already secured the three-match practice series by winning the first two matches.
In the first practice match on Tuesday, Nepal won by 4 wickets. They continued their success by winning the second practice match on Thursday by 49 runs.
In the third match, the Volcans set a target of 206 runs, scoring 205 runs in 20 overs after winning the toss and opting to bat first. D. Douglas was the top scorer for the Volcans with 56 runs off 32 balls.
For Nepal, Kamal Singh Airee and Sompal Kami were the standout bowlers, taking four and three wickets respectively.
Chasing the target, Nepal managed to score only 138 runs in 17.2 overs. Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel led the effort with a half-century, scoring 53 runs off 36 balls. Aasif Shaikh contributed 24 runs off 11 balls.
With this practice series completed, the Nepali team will now proceed to USA as part of their World Cup preparation tour.
