The inaugural edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), is set to begin on November 30. The 8 marquee players for the league’s franchise teams will each earn a minimum of NPR 2 million, with the possibility of negotiating higher amounts based on their team agreements.
During a draw held on Friday, CAN revealed the marquee players assigned to each franchise. Previously, CAN had announced the names of the 8 marquee players on Thursday, and now their team placements have been finalized.

List of Marquee Players and Their Teams:
- Rohit Paudel – Lumbini
- Sandeep Lamichhane – Biratnagar
- Dipendra Singh Airee – Sudurpashchim
- Sompal Kami – Karnali
- Aasif Sheikh – Janakpur
- Karan KC – Kathmandu
- Kushal Bhurtel – Pokhara
- Kushal Malla – Chitwan
Apart from the marquee players, CAN plans to hold the NPL auction before Dashain, where each team can select players to complete their squad. Each franchise will consist of 16 players, including up to 4 international players. The auction prices for the remaining players have not yet been disclosed.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 21, with franchise owners paying hefty amounts for their teams. Pokhara’s franchise, owned by Nepal T-20 Pvt. Ltd., set the highest bid at NPR 3.57 crore, while the other franchises followed suit:
