CE Construction Pvt. Ltd. is set to organize the second edition of the “CE Corporate T-10 Tournament.” The tournament will be held on September 19 and 20 at the newly constructed oval-sized indoor cricket ground at Royals Sports Park in Chunikhel, Kathmandu.
It is expected that 12 to 16 teams will participate in the tournament. In the first edition held last year in January, 11 teams participated, with SALICO Insurance emerging as the winner and CE Construction as the runner-up.
“Our aim is to connect corporate employees through cricket as a way to relieve the monotony of daily work, bring out hidden talents, create an enjoyable environment, and provide refreshment,” said Amit Paudel, a member of the organizing committee.
He also expressed his belief that the tournament would serve as a bridge between the corporate and cricket sectors. In addition, the tournament will be linked to charity activities. This year, arrangements have been made for high-quality live broadcasts online ( on WicketNepal ) and on television. Special awards will also be given to outstanding players in various categories. The entry fee to participate in the tournament is set at NPR 60,000.
Entries for participation in the tournament are open until September 4. The format of the tournament will be a league-cum-knockout, with each match consisting of 10 overs. Each team will have 10 players, with 8 players in the playing set.
