The match, part of the ICC World Cup League 2 triangular ODI series, was called off as the weather did not allow play. Both teams have been awarded one point each following the cancellation.
In the first match of the series, Nepal suffered a heavy defeat by 103 runs against Canada. In the second game, Nepal narrowly lost to Oman by 1 wicket, and in the third match, they were beaten by Canada again, this time by 5 wickets.
After playing 8 matches in the World Cup League 2, Nepal has only managed to secure 1 win. Their sole victory came in the first round of the league held in Nepal, where they defeated the Netherlands.
In the points table, Nepal stands second from the bottom with 3 points from 8 matches, while Oman is in sixth place with 6 points from 7 games.
