The Nepal cricket team has been announced for the upcoming Tri-Nation ODI series in Canada, which will take place from September 16. Nepal will compete against hosts Canada and Oman in this series.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) revealed a 15-member squad led by captain Rohit Kumar Paudel. Sandeep Jora, Sagar Dhakal, and Akash Chand were unable to secure spots in the team.
Left-arm fast bowler Rijan Dhakal has made a return to the squad. Dhakal made his ODI debut earlier this year in February against Canada on home soil and was also part of the series against Ireland A.

In the ICC World Cup League-2 standings, Nepal has managed only one win in four games, placing them seventh with two points, just above the UAE, who have no points. Oman is sixth with three points from four matches, while Canada is in third with eight points from eight games.
The top four teams in League-2 will directly qualify for the 2027 ODI World Cup Qualifier.
