Pubudu Appointed Head Coach of Janakpur Bolts in Nepal Premier League (NPL)

Janakpur Bolts, a team set to compete in the Nepal Premier League (NPL), has appointed Pubudu Dassanayake as their head coach.

The team announced the appointment of the Sri Lankan-born Canadian coach through their social media channels on Tuesday. Pubudu is a former head coach of the Nepal national cricket team.

Pubudu first took charge of Nepal’s national team from 2011 to 2015. During his tenure, Nepal progressed from ICC World Cricket League Division Four to Division One, and most notably, qualified for the historic 2014 ICC T20 World Cup held in Bangladesh.

He has served as Nepal’s national coach twice. In his most recent stint, he resigned and returned to Canada amid internal challenges within the team.
