The Player of the Series in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) will be awarded a car, marking the first time in Nepali cricket league history that a player will receive such a prestigious prize.
Sharda Group has announced that it will award a brand-new Omoda-E5 car, worth NPR 61.99 lakh, to the Nepali Player of the Series in the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Omoda and Jaecoo have joined the inaugural season of the NPL as co-sponsors. A partnership agreement was signed on Tuesday through the collaborative efforts of Brand Logic, the commercial rights management company of the NPL, and the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).
The agreement was signed by Roshan Niraula, CEO of Brand Logic Pvt. Ltd., and Gaurav Sharda, Director of SPG Automobiles under the Sharda Group. SPG Automobiles is the official distributor of Omoda and Jaecoo Automobiles in Nepal.
During the event, Paras Khadka, Secretary of CAN, revealed that the car will be presented to the Player of the Series on the day of the NPL final. Although the sponsorship deal is currently for one year, Khadka expressed optimism about its continuity in the future.
Details regarding the car manufacturer and its value have now been confirmed. The inaugural edition of the NPL will feature eight teams competing from November 30 to December 21 at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
