Apart from Martin Guptill’s half-century in the opening game, the Kings’ batting lineup has been underwhelming. They suffered their second consecutive defeat after being bowled out for a mere 92 against the Sudurpaschim Royals. The Kings had shown promise with the ball, reducing the Royals to 97-5 by the 14th over, but they conceded a staggering 85 runs in the final six overs. Their poor effort with the bat compounded their woes, leaving them with plenty to address.
The Lions, on the other hand, boast a mix of youthful exuberance but inexperinced bowlers. It will be interesting to see how their young bowlers perform in their tournament opener. On the batting front, the Lions appear more assured with skipper Rohit Paudel leading the way and key players like Sandeep Jora, Ben Cutting, and Bibek Yadav providing strength in the middle order.
