Four individuals have been arrested on charges of running a betting operation during the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) in Kathmandu.
The arrests were made by a team from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police. According to the CIB, two individuals were apprehended on Monday, followed by two more on Tuesday, bringing the total to four.
Amid suspicions of betting activities in the NPL, the CIB has deployed a team led by a Superintendent of Police (SP) to investigate the matter.
