William Bosisto’s Sensational 6-Wicket Haul Powers Karnali Yaks to Victory

Karnali Yaks registered their third victory in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) by defeating Pokhara Avengers by seven wickets at Tribhuvan University Ground, Kirtipur, on Tuesday.

With this win in their fifth match, Karnali have strengthened their chances of reaching the playoffs, accumulating six points from five games. Meanwhile, Pokhara suffered their third defeat in four matches, leaving them with just two points and a tougher path ahead.

Chasing a modest target of 104 runs, Karnali achieved victory in 15 overs with the loss of three wickets, scoring 106 runs. Gulsan Jha played an unbeaten knock of 49 runs, while Chadwick Walton contributed 42 runs. For Pokhara, Bipin Khatri, Sagar Dhakal, and Kushal Bhurtel each claimed one wicket.

Earlier, after winning the toss and opting to bat, Pokhara were bowled out for 103 runs in 16.3 overs. Dinesh Kharel scored 26 runs, and Andries Gous added 25 runs, while Raymon Reifer contributed 20 runs. Captain Kushal Bhurtel and Bipin Khatri chipped in with 10 runs each.

Karnali’s William Bosisto was the standout bowler, delivering a phenomenal spell of 4-0-28-6. His six-wicket haul not only dismantled Pokhara’s innings but also became the best bowling figure so far in the Nepal Premier League (NPL). Yunis Thakuri, Bipin Sharma, and Sompal Kami each took one wicket to further restrict Pokhara’s innings.

In another match held earlier on Tuesday, Lumbini Lions defeated Chitwan Rhinos by 33 runs.
