Nepal’s cricket team is set for an electrifying 2025, featuring high-stakes international battles and top-tier domestic tournaments.
The domestic season will begin with the PM Cup Seniors (March 9-29), giving Nepal’s best cricketers a chance to showcase their skills. This will be followed by the National T20 Championship in April, ensuring players remain in top form for upcoming international challenges. The 10th National Games (May 17-24) will bring together elite talents from different provinces in a battle for supremacy.
August will see the NPL Mini Auction, a key step towards professionalizing Nepal’s cricket structure. Later, the Nepal Premier League (November) will serve as the biggest T20 competition of the year, keeping the domestic scene competitive. The season will conclude with the Mahapalika Cup (December), a prestigious event featuring the nation’s top players.
On the international stage, Nepal will start with the Hong Kong Quadrangular Series (April 13-23), where they will face strong competition from Hong Kong, Qatar, and Namibia. This will be followed by an A Tour to the UK (May 15-30), helping Nepalese players adapt to different playing conditions.
In June, Nepal will compete in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 (CWCL2) alongside Scotland and the Netherlands, a crucial tournament for their ODI ambitions. The team will then prepare for the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier (July) in Sri Lanka, a key step towards securing a place in the global tournament.
September will bring an exciting T20I series against a Full Member Nation in the UAE, an opportunity for Nepal to test their skills against a higher-ranked opponent. The team will then head into the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers (October 1-17) and the ICC CWCL2 UAE Tri-Series (October 29 – November 7) as they continue their quest for global recognition.
The action continues in November with a T20I series against Hong Kong, keeping Nepal active on the international stage. The year will end with two home ODIs vs Oman in December, alongside an ICC CWCL2 Tri-Series featuring Nepal, Oman, and UAE, ensuring Nepal finishes 2025 on a strong note.
