Nepal’s all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee has set a new record in T20 International cricket, marking the most innings played without getting out for a duck.
Having played 76 matches in his T20I career, Dipendra has managed to avoid getting out for a duck in 66 innings, with 10 matches where he didn’t need to bat.
In Thursday’s match against Kuwait, he played a crucial role in Nepal’s victory, scoring 31 runs off 12 balls in the finishing stages.
Dipendra surpasses West Indies’ Marlon Samuels, who holds the previous record of 65 innings without a duck.
Previously, Dipendra also set the record for the fastest half-century off 9 balls, a feat that remains unbeaten, although it could only be equaled.
He is also one of the few players to hit 6 sixes in an over, showcasing his versatility and strength in the T20 format
