Sanima Reliance Crowned Champions at 3rd Edition of She Strikes: Corporate Women’s Cricket Tournament

On Baisakh 12, 2082, nine spirited teams set out for Kwality Beach Resort, Sindhuli, to compete in the third season of She Strikes, the Corporate Women’s Cricket Tournament. Representing Citizens Bank Limited, Citizen Life Insurance, Cloud Factory, Edu-Bridge Consultancy, Ncell, Rastriya Banijya Bank, Sanima Reliance Life Insurance, Surya Jyoti Life Insurance, and Surya Nepal Pvt., the teams gathered with great enthusiasm, eager for two days of competition, connection, and celebration.

Arriving around 11:30 AM, the players were welcomed by bright skies and lively anticipation. A skincare booth set up by Kejjan’s greeted the teams, providing a moment of self-care before the matches began. Following a hearty breakfast, the tournament officially commenced, setting the stage for a weekend filled with action and camaraderie.

The tournament was divided into two stages: the Group Stage and the Contender Stage, which consisted of the Elite, Challenger, and Plate Pools. Every match was fiercely contested, with a Player of the Match recognized after each game with special awards and gift vouchers. Day 1 focused on the Group Stage matches, and as the sun set, all the teams came together for a relaxing pool party. It was an evening of laughter, dancing, and shared stories, fostering friendships beyond the boundaries of the playing field.

Day 2 saw the competition intensify as teams moved into the Contender Stage. Sanima Reliance, Surya Nepal, and Surya Jyoti advanced into the Elite Pool, while Citizens Bank, Cloud Factory, and Rastriya Banijya Bank competed in the Challenger Pool. Meanwhile, Citizens Life, Ncell, and Edu-Bridge Consultancy took their places in the Plate Pool. Although the teams in the Plate Pool did not progress to the finals, their fighting spirit was commendable, with Team Ncell ultimately securing the Plate title after a determined performance.

The road to the final was marked by closely fought battles. Team Surya Nepal and Team Sanima Reliance faced off in Qualifier 1, with Surya Nepal securing a direct entry into the final. Sanima Reliance, undeterred, went on to play against Cloud Factory in Qualifier 2. In a match full of suspense and determination, Sanima Reliance emerged victorious, earning their place in the much-anticipated final.

The final match was nothing short of spectacular. The atmosphere was electric as players and supporters filled the resort grounds with cheers and excitement. In a gripping contest that saw both teams playing with unmatched passion, Sanima Reliance edged past Surya Nepal to claim the She Strikes Season 3 title. The match showcased the very best of corporate women’s cricket — teamwork, resilience, and unyielding spirit — and though only one team could lift the trophy, the sportsmanship displayed on both sides was a true victory in itself.
