Nepal Posts Record 420 Runs in ACC U-16 East Zone, Jaishi Hits Century

Opener Prasiddha Jaishi’s century helped Nepal post a massive total against Indonesia in their third match of the ACC Men’s U-16 East Zone Cricket Tournament, currently underway in Malaysia.

Playing at the Selangor Turf Club in Kuala Lumpur, Nepal was invited to bat first after losing the toss and went on to score a mammoth 420 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 50 overs, setting Indonesia a target of 421 runs.

This is Nepal’s highest-ever total in any 50-over match across all age groups, including senior level. It is also the highest total in the ongoing tournament so far.

Prasiddha Jaishi played a brilliant innings, scoring 132 runs off 114 balls, including 15 fours and 1 six.

Raunak Srivastava contributed 88 runs off 71 balls, hitting 8 fours and 2 sixes.

Fellow opener Parimarjan Yadav blasted 71 runs off just 28 balls, smashing 4 fours and 8 sixes.

Joy Thapa added 57 runs from 41 balls, including 7 fours.

The opening partnership between Jaishi and Yadav yielded 130 runs. After the first wicket fell at 130, the second fell at 151. Jaishi and Raunak then shared a 148-run stand for the third wicket.
