The Nepal national cricket team is set to travel to India for a second-phase training camp ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers.

The training will be held at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru from July 21 to August 3, as confirmed by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).

This camp is being organized in collaboration with the Indian Embassy in Nepal and supported by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Out of the 32 players currently in the closed training camp, 20 players have been selected to attend the India camp.

The players traveling to India include Rohit Paudel, Kushal Bhurtel, Aasif Sheikh, Lokesh Bam, Anil Sah, Bhim Sharki, Aarif Sheikh, Dipendra Singh Airee, Kushal Malla, Rupesh Singh, Bibek Yadav, Rijan Dhakal, Pratish GC, Nandan Yadav, Yubraj Khatri, Shahab Alam, Sundeep Jora, Sagar Dhakal, Aakash Chand, and Shubh Kansakar.

These players will receive advanced training at one of India’s most renowned cricket academies, aimed at boosting their performance before the global qualifier event.

Meanwhile, the remaining players will continue training in Nepal under national coaches and fitness experts.

Those continuing in Nepal include Karan KC, Sompal Kami, Sandeep Lamichhane, Lalit Rajbanshi, Gulshan Jha, Basir Ahmad, Kiran Thagunna, Mohammad Adil Alam, Pawan Sarraf, Sher Malla, Arjun Gharti, and Kamal Singh Airee.

This split-training model allows both senior and young players to gain focused development in preparation for the qualifiers.

After the India tour, Nepal will head to Darwin, Australia, in August to participate in the Top End T20 Series.

The international exposure from both India and Australia is expected to play a vital role in Nepal’s campaign for a spot in the ICC T20 World Cup.

With focused preparation and high-level match practice, Nepal is aiming to make a strong mark on the global stage.
