Nepal has been drawn in Group 2 of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia-Pacific Joint Qualifier, set to be held in Oman from October 8 to 17, 2025. Nepal will compete against Kuwait and Japan in the group stage.
Group Division:
Group 1: UAE, Malaysia, Qatar
Group 2: Nepal, Kuwait, Japan
Group 3: Oman (host), Papua New Guinea, Samoa
The top two teams from each group will progress to the Super Six stage, and the top three from there will qualify for the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.
Among the nine participating nations, Nepal, Oman, UAE, and Papua New Guinea have previously played in T20 World Cups.
To strengthen their preparations, Nepal is going Australia for the Top End T20 Series, where they are facing top-level sides including four BBL teams, Pakistan A, and Bangladesh A.
