Nepal will host the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier for the first time. The tournament will take place from January 12 to February 2, 2026, as confirmed by the ICC.
A total of 10 teams will compete, and the top four will qualify for the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales. This is the biggest-ever international cricket event to be hosted in Nepal.
All matches will be held at Upper and Lower Mulpani Cricket Grounds in Kathmandu.
Bangladesh and Ireland are automatically qualified due to their participation in the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup.
From Asia, Thailand and Nepal have qualified. This is the first time Nepal has reached the Global Qualifier after advancing through the Asia region.
USA has qualified from the Americas. Two teams each will qualify from Africa and Europe, while one team will qualify from the East Asia-Pacific region.
The 10 teams will be divided into two groups, followed by a Super Six stage and then a final.
