The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has won the ICC Digital Fan Engagement of the Year Award 2024, marking its second consecutive win in this category.
The award was presented during the ICC Annual Conference held in Singapore, where CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand, Secretary Paras Khadka, and Treasurer Padam Khadka received the honor from ICC Chairman Jay Shah.
According to the ICC, CAN reached over 117 million users globally through digital platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and X. The number of followers grew from 1.17 million to 1.59 million, with over 420,000 new followers added in one year.
CAN also saw major growth in video engagement. Facebook watch time surpassed 13.4 million minutes, YouTube watch time rose by 277%, and Instagram views crossed 40 million.
This award highlights Nepal’s rising impact in global cricket through strong digital strategy and passionate fan support.
