Malla’s unbeaten 59 not enough as Nepal lose to Bangladesh ‘A’

Nepal faced their second consecutive defeat in the ongoing Top End T20 Series in Australia, going down by 32 runs against Bangladesh ‘A’.

Chasing a target of 187, Nepal managed 154/7 in 20 overs. Kushal Malla top-scored with an unbeaten 59 off 47 balls, but his effort was not enough. Rakibul Hasan claimed three wickets for Bangladesh, while Saif Hassan, Ripon Mondol, and Mrittunjoy Chowdhury picked one each.

Earlier, Bangladesh ‘A’ posted 186/6 after being invited to bat. Opener Jishad Alam smashed 71 runs, while Afif Hossain added an unbeaten 48. For Nepal, Rijhan Dhakal took two wickets, with Nandan Yadav, Karan KC, and Sandeep Lamichhane took 1 wickets.

Nepal had lost their opening match against Northern Territory Strikers on Friday. They will next face Melbourne Stars, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, and Pakistan Shaheens.
