Sandeep Lamichhane starred with a hat-trick and 5 wickets as Nepal crushed ACT by 41 runs in their first T20 practice match.
Nepal posted 177/8 in 20 overs, powered by opener Aasif Sheikh’s 69 off 38 balls and Rohit Paudel’s 36.
ACT could only manage 136 all out in 17.2 overs, with Sandeep’s 5/31 dismantling their lineup. Karan KC took 2 wickets, while Kushal Bhurtel and Rupesh Singh grabbed one each.
Nepal will play the second T20 today, followed by two T20s and one ODI against South Australia on August 28 and 30. This tour is a key step in preparing for the World Cup qualifiers.
