Nepal ‘A’ Clinch T20 Series 3-2 Against Assam

Nepal ‘A’ emerged victorious in the T20 series against Assam in Guwahati, India, securing the series 3-2 after a thrilling final match on Monday. In the decider, Nepal ‘A’ defeated Assam by 44 runs.

Batting first, Nepal ‘A’ posted 208-6 in 20 overs, setting a target of 209 runs. Sundeep Jora starred for Nepal, scoring 64 off 39 balls with 2 fours and 5 sixes. Subh Kansakar added 41, while Ishan Pandey contributed 32 runs.

Chasing the target, Assam managed only 164 runs, losing 9 wickets. Bhargav Lahkar was the top scorer for Assam with an unbeaten 29, while Sahil Jain and captain Sumit Ghadiankar scored 25 each. Saurabh Dihiga added 17 runs. For Nepal, Sher Malla, Akash Chand, and Pawan Sarraf picked up 2 wickets each, and Basir Ahmad claimed 1 wicket. Assam’s Ayushman Malakar and Abhinav Chaudhary took 2 wickets each.

The series, which started on Thursday, Nepal ‘A’ lose the first match by 15 runs (DLS method) but bounce back in the second match with a 96-run victory. In the third match on Saturday, Nepal ‘A’ won by 9 runs, while Assam claimed the fourth match by 18 runs on Sunday.

With this win, Nepal ‘A’ claimed the T20 series 3-2, concluding a thrilling contest against Assam.
