Nepal T20 league postponed to December

With less than 2 weeks to go for the Nepal T20 league, the tournament has been postponed until December as per the directives of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) formally announced the news via a press release. The two-day draft was completed three days ago with 33 overseas signed by six franchises.

Owing to a security concern for foreign players, the tournament was shifted till December.

“This is a very crucial event for Nepal which promises to be the largest carnival of T20 cricket and foreign tourism. We at Cricket Association of Nepal take players’ safety and security very seriously. Therefore, we will comply with the advisory and postpone the T20 leagues to the proposed dates of December 11 till December 31st, 2022,” CAN said in its press release.
