Nepal Premier League Franchise Bidding Results: Top Bids and Winning Teams Unveiled

The owners of the franchises for the Nepal Premier League (NPL) have been decided. On Thursday, the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) held an open bidding process, showing a wide range of bids for franchises across different cities.

Nepal T-20 Pvt. Ltd. made the highest bid for the Pokhara franchise, securing it for NPR 3.57 crore. The Kathmandu franchise was acquired by Kantipur Publications for NPR 3.33 crore.

Dreams Sports won the Janakpur franchise with a bid of NPR 2.05 crore. Fortuna Health Care obtained the Lumbini franchise for NPR 1.86 crore, while the Sudurpashchim franchise was secured by Empire Sports for NPR 1.68 crore.

Chitwan Medical College acquired the Chitwan franchise for NPR 1.76 crore, and MAD Dreams Sports won the Biratnagar franchise with a bid of NPR 1.51 crore.

The lowest bid was for the Karnali franchise, which Himalayan Builders secured for NPR 1.11 crore.

The NPL, set to run from Mangsir 15 to Poush 6, will feature 8 teams. A total of 16 applications were received for the franchises, and the 8 franchises were sold for a total of NPR 16.89 crore.
