Kathmandu, September 15, 2024 – The ALIGANS COLLEGE LEAGUE, organized by ALIGANS CRICKET, is set to take place from September 15 to 19 at the Himalayan Cricket Academy. The tournament will follow a 10-over format, with 16 colleges competing. The event aims to promote college cricket and provide a platform for young talents to showcase their skills, helping to elevate the standard of the sport at the academic level.
The participating teams include LRI, Bluebird College, Janamaitri College, CCRC, Ullens School, Goldengate, Divya College, Nist College, Janapremi College, Glacier College, Kaustov Academy, New Summit College, Himalaya College, Shikshantar H.S School, Galaxy College, and VS Niketan College. These teams represent a diverse group of institutions from across Kathmandu, bringing together students with a shared passion for cricket.
The winner of the tournament will take home NPR 50,000, while individual awards include a BAS Vampire Bat worth NPR 12,000 for the Player of the Series, along with a trophy, gift hamper, and certificate. The Best Batsman will receive gloves, and the Best Bowler will be awarded shoes, both with accompanying trophies and gift hampers.
The matches will be held at the Himalayan Cricket Academy’s Indoor Facility, providing a professional venue for intense competition. The event is presented by KIEC and supported by Pangolin Travels Pvt. Ltd. and MeroUddan.com, contributing to the overall success of the tournament.
