Nepal wins second practice match against Cricket ACT

Nepal’s cricket team, currently on tour in Australia, secured another victory in their second T20 practice match against the Australian Capital Territory (Cricket ACT).

Nepal defeated Cricket ACT by 6 wickets, successfully chasing down the target of 97 runs in just 13.2 overs with 4 wickets in hand.

Dipendra Singh Airee was the top scorer with an unbeaten 42 runs, while Gulshan Jha contributed 23 runs.

Earlier, after losing the toss and being sent to bat first, Cricket ACT was bowled out for 96 runs in 17.2 overs.

For Nepal, Dipendra Singh Airee and Shahab Alam starred with the ball, taking 4 wickets each, while Rohit Paudel and Gulshan Jha picked up 1 wicket each.

Nepal had also won the first practice match earlier in the day by 41 runs.

Following the recently concluded Top End T20 Series, Nepal has lined up five additional practice matches in Australia.

Nepal will next face South Australia in two T20 matches and one One-Day match on August 28 and 30.

The Australia tour is seen as an important part of Nepal’s preparations for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.
