Unity Cup: West Indies Announce Squad vs Nepal

18 September 2025

West Indies have announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Nepal in Sharjah later this month, featuring five uncapped players. With several senior cricketers, including regular skipper Shai Hope, given rest, the team will be captained by left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein.

The newcomers in the squad are top-order batter Ackeem Auguste, allrounder Navin Bidaisee, legspinner Zishan Motara, left-arm pacer Ramon Simmonds, and wicketkeeper-batter Amir Jangoo. Batter Karima Gore has also earned a call-up—he has already played eight T20Is for USA but is yet to make his debut for West Indies.

Gore has been in good touch in CPL 2025, scoring 219 runs in 11 games for Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.

Alongside Hosein, the squad carries experience in the form of Fabian Allen, Jason Holder, and Kyle Mayers. Hosein, the most capped T20I player in the group, will be leading West Indies for the first time in any format.

Earlier, in April 2024, West Indies A had visited Nepal for a five-match T20 series. The hosts lost the series but managed to claim two wins.

The three T20Is will be played on September 27, 29, and 30 in Sharjah.
