Sandeep Lamichhane became the fastest player to take 100 wickets in ODI after Nepal’s impressive win over Oman

Nepali star Sandeep Lamichane became the fastest player to take 100 wickets in an ODI, ahead of Afghanistan leg spinner Rashid Khan. Also, Kushal Malla became the youngest associate player and fastest Nepali player to hit a century in an ODI.

Nepal won the match by 84 runs at the TU Cricket Ground (Nepal).

In the second inning, Oman starts the match by attacking, but the wicket continually falls.

Mohammad Nadeem was the top scorer for Oman, scoring 65 off 84 balls, and Sandeep Goud scored 46 runs in 56 balls.

Karan KC and Sandeep Lamichhane took 3 wickets each, while Dipendra Singh Airee took 2 wickets for Nepal. Nepal conceded 11 extra runs, which included 6 wides.

In the first over of Lamichane, take the Maqsood wicket to achieve a record. Due to an injury, Aqib Illyas wasn’t able to bat.

Before that, Oman won the toss and elected to bowl first. Nepal managed to score a massive 310 runs in 50 overs and lose 8 wickets. Young man Kushal Malla played a blasting inning of 108 off 64 balls, and Sompal Kami scored 63 runs in 48 balls.

This is the highest run for Nepal in ODI history. In the 4th over, Nepal scored 0 runs and lost both opener batsmen.

Omani bowlers Ayaan Khan and Amir Khan took 2 wickets each, while the other bowlers took 1 wicket each. The Omani bowlers gave away 10 extras, which included 10 wides.

The next match of the day is delayed due to rain between Hong Kong and the UAE.

The Man of the Match award was presented to Kushal Malla for his quick-fire 108 runs in 64 balls.

ACC Premier Cup started from 18 April until 1 may.    The winner of the Premier League Cup will have to play against India and Pakistan. Nepal next has a match against Saudi Arabia on April 24 at Mulpani Cricket Ground.
