Indu Barma’s All-Round Show Helps Nepal Beat Kuwait by 34 Runs

Nepal’s women’s cricket team continued their winning ways in the Women’s Quadrangular Series in Malaysia, beating Kuwait by 34 runs. This was their second victory, following their win over Hong Kong by 6 wickets.

Nepal Women’s vs Kuwait Women’s Full Scorecard 

Kuwait fell short of Nepal’s target of 90 runs, scoring only 55 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Zeefa Jilani top-scored for Kuwait with 11 runs. Nepal’s bowlers Indu Barma (3 wickets), Khushi Dangol (2 wickets), Kabita Kunwar, Sita Rana Magar, and Ishwari Bist (1 wicket each) shared the spoils.

Nepal, after losing the toss, batted first and scored 89 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Indu Barma top-scored for Nepal with 23 runs. Kuwait’s Mariamma Hyder was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets.

Nepal is scheduled to face the host nation, Malaysia, in their third match on Friday, August 25th.

This women’s T-20I series, which includes host Malaysia, Nepal, Hong Kong, and Kuwait, serves as crucial preparation for Nepal ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier, scheduled to take place in Malaysia starting from August 31st.
