The Nepal cricket team departed for Pakistan on Tuesday night to take part in the tournament scheduled from August 30 to September 17, 2023, in Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
This marks Nepal’s inaugural appearance in the Asia Cup, Nepal, India, and Pakistan are in Group A. Nepal will play Pakistan on August 30 and India on September 4.
Group ‘B’ has Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. The top two teams from each group will enter the Super Four. The top two teams of the Super Four will compete for the title.
This will be the first time that Nepal will play an ODI match against India and Pakistan. The Nepali team will be looking to make their mark in the tournament and create some upsets.
